Derrick Guerrier is an emerging New Jersey–based artist whose practice centers on the intuitive, freehand process of painting. Working primarily in acrylic, he explores the depth of human emotion and the nuances of interpersonal connection. His signature use of radiant yellow light beams symbolizes his belief that light is ever-present, even in the darkest moments, offering a sense of hope throughout his work.

After a strong background in graphic design, in 2025 he made the decision to pick up a paintbrush and explore a new creative medium.
